The structure of the end of year tournament will be an all inclusive, 3 game guarantee, jamboree style event. All teams will be included, not simply the top ranked teams. With all teams being included in the event, some liberties must be taken in order to keep the event as consistent as possible. As an example, the tournament will be a three game guarantee, but in a division with an odd number of teams, one or more teams may receive a By and not play the same number of games.
The official schedule for this tournament is provided by the host club, and can be found here. In the event of scheduling error, the host club schedule should be followed.

For regular season play, each of the four CCHL Age Groups (10U, 12U, 14U and 18U) have two distinct divisions. Those divisions for regular season play are defined as North and South. For the purposes of the CCHL Cup, each CCHL Age Group will have two distinct divisions defined as Patrick and Wales. At the end of regular season play, final seeding will be determined.
The top half of each regular season CCHL Age Group will be placed in the Patrick Division for the tournament, and the second half of each regular season CCHL Age Group will be placed in the Wales division.
Links to each Division will be posted, pending the end of the regular season.
The Capital Corridor Hockey League is sanctioned by USA Hockey and the Potomac Valley Amateur Hockey Association. The rules for the tournament have been revised and published as part of the regular season rulebook. Section 7 titled CCHL Cup Tournament Rules is now part of the standard rule book, found here. Beginning with the 2017-2018 season, there have been some changes to the tournament rules that are worth highlighting.
Scheduling for the Cup
All cup games for the 18U age category will be the final weekend of February. All other age groups will play their Cup games, the first weekends of March. See page 3 of this document. This years matrix is typical, meaning that 18U is always the last weekend of Feb and the other three Divisions are the first two weekends of March.
Playing time for non-elimination round games will be three (3) 12 minute periods. Elimination rounds and finals will have three (3) 15 minute periods and an overtime and shootout if needed.
Seeding for teams will be determined based on the final standings in both the North and South divisions within each of the four CCHL Age Groups (10U, 12U, 14U and 18U). Final standings are defined in section 2.5 title Division Standing Determination of the CCHL rule book, found here.
Seedings cannot be determined until all league games have been played.

It is important to note that the brackets described below do not imply scheduling information. Schedulers for each age group, and for each location normally schedule games in such a way as to provide for ease of travel for all teams involved. This means that a game listed as round 1 below may or may not be the first game played by a team during the tournament.
